Since March 2020, Nick Chavez has been battling stage 2 pancreatic cancer.

In April, he began his chemotherapy. He posted pictures of his hair on his website before chemotherapy and after it had recovered.

Overview of his life

The hairdresser, who was born in Yuma, Arizona, in 1956, has always been passionate about beauty, haircare, and spirituality.

His family has Yaqui and Quechan Indian ancestry and Mexican-American ancestry. Nick, the second oldest of seven children, frequently assisted his family on their ranch.

According to Nick Chavez’s official website, he also learned holistic healing techniques from his Yaqui Grandmother.

Nick discovered his natural aptitude with scissors while regularly caring for the family horses.

He quickly started designing “cool and trendy” hairstyles for his siblings and other family members.

His abilities immediately brought him attention, and he had a substantial clientele and a stellar reputation before he died.

The hairstylist left his business to pursue a modeling and acting career in his late 20s.

While on his European tour, he posed for fashion houses, including Jean Paul Gaultier, Yves Saint Laurent, and Valentino.

Many of Nick’s photo assignments were a hit, appearing on the covers of publications including Vogue, GQ, Elle, and Esquire and on a 100-foot billboard in Times Square.

In addition, he contributed to various TV ads, The Young and the Restless, Hollywood Detectives, and other shows.

After moving back to Beverly Hills, Nick launched his own salon in 1997, which became popular immediately. Margeaux Hemmingway, Lisa Hartmann, and Belinda Carlisle were among his patrons.

In 1999, Nick created his haircare line, “Nick Chavez Beverly Hills,” after struggling to find the ideal products for his consumers. His objective was to have gorgeous, healthy hair that would give him the “Every Day Gorgeous” appearance.

The goods are offered for sale both online and through home shopping networks like QVC, both domestically and abroad.

Nick’s incredible “hair and makeover transformations” led to regular appearances on talk shows like Extreme Makeovers and E! Fashion Emergency.
