What Does It Mean By Peace of God?

The harmony and stillness of the body, mind, and spirit of humans that befalls them on earth are known as the peace of God. Grace and peace to you from God and Jesus Christ begin in almost every letter that Paul writes in the Holy Bible. The definition of peace in the Bible is that it is a gift from God and is consistent with who He is.

Philippians 4:7 “And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.”

1 Thessalonians 5:23 “May God himself, the God of peace, sanctify you through and through. May your whole spirit, soul and body be kept blameless at the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ.”

When we obey and put our faith in God’s and Christ’s instructions, we are in a peaceful state of gratitude and faith. To feel God’s peace, we need to have both humility and bravery, to see beyond what is possible for us to understand.

Proverbs 3:5 “Trust in the LORD with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding.”

If God is calm by nature, then living in His serenity is to appreciate the Lord’s favour. We can experience more of His calm as we draw nearer to Him. James 4:8 “Thankfully, the Bible gives us detailed instructions on how to get closer to God.

Come near to God and he will come near to you. Wash your hands, you sinners, and purify your hearts, you double-minded.”

Psalms 24:3-4 “Who may ascend the mountain of the LORD? Who may stand in his holy place? The one who has clean hands and a pure heart, who does not trust in an idol or swear by a false god.”
