Linkin Park Thank the Fans for their Support since Chester Bennington's Death

Linkin Park have thanked their fans for the love and support they have shown the band ever since lead singer, Chester Bennington, died in July.

The band and their loving fans were left reeling when it became official that Chester had taken his own life on the 20th of July.

The news rocked the music industry to its core and many celebrities worldwide paid tribute to the Linkin Park frontman.

Jay Z ended his V Festival set by paying a moving tribute to Chester by performing Encore which he collaborated with Linkin Park on.

The rapper won Best Rap/Sung Collaboration in 2006 after working with Bennington and he asked the audience to sing along with, declaring: “Make some noise, he’ll hear us from heaven.”

He also took the time to discuss mental health and how it is impacting his fellow artists because it is still a taboo subject, even in 2017.

"We’re not dealing with that because it ain’t the cool thing to do," JAY-Z said on last night's Rap Radar.https://t.co/rC41450sjE

Jared Leto also paid his own tribute by offering poignant words of comfort to the hurting fans at this year’s VMAs.

However, the most moving tributes have to be the ones from the fans around the globe who have created their own memorials.

Linkin Park members Mike Shinoda and Phoenix have spent their time after Chester’s death, retweeting pictures and videos of commemorative tributes made by fans.

Chester’s wife, Talinda, shared a photo of the performer with her and their family days before his death with the hashtag “#f*ckdepression”.

She has been communicating with her fans, expressing her struggle with the adjustment to life as a widow.

She wrote on Twitter: “Another night & I can’t sleep. The empty in my bed is too light now & throws off my balance. I tend to roll to the side.”

She also added that Linkin Park fans have been helping her cope with the sad loss of Chester.

We miss Chester very much but it is important to support those who are still here.

Make sure you keep sending your tributes or kind thoughts to Linkin Park, Talinda and whoever else you know may be struggling.

You are not alone.
